Anyone volunteer with their dc?
I SAH and I'd really like to start volunteering but I'm having trouble thinking outside the box. I'm sure there's a lot more opportunities than I'm thinking about.
I have a 14 mo old ds. He doesn't like to sit still much. He LOVES our dogs so the only thing I cam think of is walking with or playing with the animals at a shelter. I think he's a little too rambunctious for an old folks home at this point. Any other ideas?

I am in the Junior League of York. We do have some family friendly events, most of our volunteer events are on the weekends and the meetings in the evening. We have a couple of "big" events a year, coming up we have Laura Bush coming for our speaker series (we have a different person each year). The money we earn from that is given away in grants to local non-profits.
