October dinner party- Halloween/Fall theme
October is my month to host our dinner group. I want to have a Halloween/Fall theme, but need some fun ideas. What great ideas do you girls have?
Re: October dinner party- Halloween/Fall theme
Pumpkin immediately comes to mind, in recipes and in decor. I also love decorative gourds and corn for fall parties.
I also really want to try this cocktail, if you want to go more "Halloween" than "fall" themed: http://cocktails.about.com/od/vodkadrinkrecipes/r/draculas_kiss.htm
I also think long taper candles look best in Fall/Winter. Don't know why, just like them better once October rolls around! You can get them in such lovely hues like burgundy or orange (or, again if you're thinking more Halloween themed, red and black).
Do you want to go more Fall or more Halloween? They're very different IMO!
I'd definitely check out Martha Stewart for this. She always has great ideas.

I have a really good pumkin and sausage pasta recipe if that is interesting to you.

Just made baked squash with brown sugar and cinnamon tonight for dinner. Great, easy, tasty, vegetarian recipe for a fall party!
2nd the Martha Stewart. She always has something fun for themed entertaining. This year's Halloween mag is great.
