We are headed to Florida next week. We will be staying with my family in Sarasota and then heading to the Magic Kingdom on Friday. We need to find a fairly cheap hotel room for Friday night...like under $50 for the night. We are looking for a hotel near Magic Kingdom, or not too far, preferably on the North East side since we need to be in Jekyll Island, GA by 2pm on Saturday. Anyone have any recs?
Re: disney hotel info
You won't really find anything near Magic Kingdom, unfortunately. There are the Disney Resorts on site, but they start at $150 and up a night. The have economy hotels but they are about $100 a night.
On the north side of Disney are mostly residential neighborhoods. Your best bet for a good deal on a room and near a major interstate/highway is 192 near 429 or I4. Or International Drive near Sandlake Road, which is near I4. I know you can stay at the Wyndham Orlando (corner of International Dr and Sandlake Rd) for about $60 a night. It is a really nice place too.
There are some really cheap hotels along 192, but you get what you pay for. If you are just looking for a place to crash then you could probably get one of those for $40ish.
Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck!
