ipod touch vs. iphone

Would you say that the ipod touch is basically the iphone without the ability to make phone calls?  Is there some other difference?

Re: ipod touch vs. iphone

  • Compared to the iPhone 3G/3GS, yes I say it's basically the same thing. Just you can't make a phone call.

I'm not sure if there is a newer iPod touch that is like the iPhone 4 but if so, then yea, it's the same as well but without the ability to make phone calls.

If you want iPhone features but you don't want to get AT&T not so great coverage then go for the iPod Touch.

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Between the iPhone 4 and the newest iPod Touch announced last week - you can't make cellular calls (although FaceTime works and voice-over-IP apps work via WiFi) and the iPhone has a better quality camera.
