Epic or Evo???

I have been on the waiting list for EVO, but now the EPIC came out which seems better. But the sales guy was telling me just wait until the EVO comes in this week (even though the EPIC was in store and he could have sold it to me today). Makes me question whether the extra money is worth it. Does anyone have info on either phone? TIA!

I'm not the most technologically savvy person, but did end up getting an evo.  I bought it at Best Buy (and had to stalk the store for nearly two months before they decided to allow people to put deposits on them once again so they'd have first dibs when the phones came in).  I checked out other phones and other providers there and the EVO was the best deal for me. I was to the point of holding out for the next one coming (which I believe was the epic) but the sales guy had me convinced that the EVO is better than that.

I have the EVO and I LOVE it!  It's the first phone I've had where I have absolutely no complaints.

I actually just popped in to ask this exact question.  They seem like very similar phones except the Epic has a slide out keyboard.  I'm always leary about getting the brand new technology, so I'm up in the air too.  I'm not sure i'd like just the touch screen (for texting), so that's the only reason i'm considering the Epic.  It's an extra $50, so we'll see. My contract is up in November, so i have some time to make a decision.  Oh, and i think the Epic has an HD videocamera too.  It's just a matter if you'll use all the options.
