Reggie Bush may lose...

...his Heisman?

Do you think he should be stripped of it? If so, should Vince Young get it, or should there just not be a winner from that year?

Re: Reggie Bush may lose...

  • The precedent set thus far with the NCAA and vacating championships doesn't award the runner up for the other years, so there probably won't be another winner from that year, and I don't think there should be another from that year.

That being said, people will always consider Reggie Bush the Heisman winner for that year.  It's like the 1994 Minnesota Final Four that was erased from the records.  Minnesota actually DID go to the Final Four in 1994, the players DID win all those games.  However, after the Clem Haskins scandal, the NCAA revoked it and for the record, it never existed.  Same thing with the University of Michigan with the '92-'93 championship games with the Fab Five and the UMass 1996 Final Four.  Those were vacated, but there wasn't a "runner up."

I swim because I'm too damned sexy for a sport that requires real clothing.
  • I think the whole thing is a waste of everyone's time. It doesn't really mean anything, Leave Reggie alone, FFS.
  • I don't think he'll lose it. And I honestly don't care - just wanted some opinions since this seems to be a hot topic amongst my sports-loving friends.

He's got a Super Bowl ring. This chapter of his life is in the past. I guess I just don't see him losing his Heisman happening.

  • I also don't think he will lose it.

If he does - I don't think there will be a replacement.

I don't really have an opinion either way.
