  • Seriously!  DH & I are kind of doing the whole, "if it happens great!" thing at the moment.  No prevention, but I'm not charting or anything.  Which, I'm totally cool with.  For me, I feel like if it's meant to be, it will.

But holy cow, with every pregnancy announcement, I wish a little more, that it was our turn! :) So I do have baby fever, but it's mostly brought on with each pregnancy announcement. (2 of my cousins are also pregnant, so it's like everywhere I turn, I hear another awesome announcement!)

In all honestly, I am so unbelievably excited & happy for Stacy & Taylor!

  • I hear you on that fever.  If we don't get KU by Dec then we will most likely take a break until next fall and do an IVF vacation out of the country.

  • Meeeee too... C wants to wait a bit longer (he's still kinda scared to have a kiddo :) hehe), but I've been ready for a while now. And every girl on here, or on my anniversary board, or on my facebook friend list that gets pregnant, the more I want a little one too! I'm trying hard to be patient though!

This. Were strongly considering turning in our paperwork to the agency to adopt internationally.

We are going to adopt from AASK.  DH and I feel we should at least adopt a child that has been surrendered to the state or taken away.  We are looking at the age ranges of 3-8 since getting newborns/toddlers is scarce.  The second go around we might do an international adoption or private adoption.  That is a whole other conversation though.

  • I have worked for AASK for years they are a great agency.  Very easy to work with and we will plan to use them for adoption as well.

I have heard some great things about them too.  That is one reason why we decided to go with them.  As soon as I get my schedule figured out, I plan on volunteering down there a couple times a week.

    Totally not horrible!

Mine would go off and on for the last two years.  Then about 8 months ago it was like someone turned on the faucet FULL FORCE.

Just you wait.  The awesomeness of The Fever awaits you ;)

  • once again nobody gets my references. ugh! lol

  • I know I am late to this thread, but ME TOO!!!  And I feel like I have no one in real life to talk to about it (except my H of course) because I do not want people to ask me every time I turn down a glass of wine if I am pregnant!  We are most likely going to start TTC in January, that is the plan right now!

I have to admit, that first Dr. appointment where they take all the blood scares the crap out of me, more so than the labor!  I hate getting my blood drawn!  I know it is worth it, and my fear is totally irrational, but that scares me!

This is awesome. Thanks for the info ladies! We've also thought about adopting an older child at some point (like, age 3-5), so it's good to know about this agency. Keep us posted on how the process goes!!

You're not alone. I don't have the fever. I probably won't until FI finishes school and we save up some cash.

  • So I got curious and called the agency. Lol. There is only 3 children in the state of az between the ages of 3 to 8 up for adoption right now. The counselor told me what most people do is foster to adopt. Only problem with that is the child could go back living with the birth parent. Its scary to think that a child I am fighting for could be taken from me and dh.
