Suggestions wanted for dog rescues
Hello all! It's been awhile since I've been on here and some of you don't even know who I am. Anyways...
We are considering getting a rescue dog if a breed comes up that we are looking for. We aren't looking for real big dogs because of the size of our home.
I have only heard of Sebastian Foundation. Any other recommendations

... every single day of forever.
yeah but i get so overwhelmed. They have listings for the Sebastian Foundation too.
I'll try it from time to time but it's nice to have a specific one to look at.

Welcome back! I remember you!
I don't have personal experience with them but have heard that Molly's Place in Mechanicsburg is great! GL!
There are also breed specific rescues, which I mention because you said you are looking for specific breeds. These are often great to work with because you can get pre-approved and then wait for a good match for you and the dog. If you need help finding breed specific rescues, please let me know. You can find some that list on petfinder, others have their own websites though. Usually you can find the reputable breed specific rescues through their national parent club (ie, for labs - Labrador Retriever Club of America). They are generally knowledgeable of the breed and will have the dogs in foster care so you can know about their personalities and how they interact with people and other pets.
I have also hear good things about Molly's Place and you could check the local human societies.
of course, I'd recommend the doxie rescue league ; ) (drna.org). my friend just got her pup at the local animal rescue league, he's such a cutie, medium sized and a terrier mix.
GL!
