How has everyone done this past week???
Re: Wellness Wednesday
Diet: Not so good. But I officially started WW yesterday, so that was part of my crappy eating this weekend. You know, my last chance for fatty foods. I'm on a huge tracking kick, so I'm looking forward to a week of healthy eating!
Exercise: Pretty good considering I was fighting off a bug, however this definitely helped my knee heal a bit. I had a great run on Monday and am super excited to have an awesome run tonight.
Finances: I bought basically a new fall wardrobe since my previous one didn't fit anymore (hooray). I hit some amazing sales so I did as little damage for the amount I got. But we have been doing better at eating out less, and picking less expensive places when we do eat out.
Spiritual: We made it to church again, but were under-whelmed. We're currently debating if we should give it another shot, or if we should continue the church hunt.
Diet - not so bad considering we were on a mini-vacation this past weekend. We ate relatively good minus a quick stop for ice cream.
Exercise - I always feel like I get more excersise when we're at the beach (walking, kayaking, biking). I also did spin last night and I'm going to step tonight.
Finances - doing good. We just purchased a couch for the man-room and saved some money because of Labor Day sales. We've had my grandmother's old couch for some time so I'm happy for a change. We ended up getting a reclining sofa and I think I'm in love. It's super comfy.
Spiritual - I wish DH and I would go to church more, but I don't see it happening. DH had a weird upbringing that makes the thought of church unappealing.
Diet--Not so bad, and I'm tinkering with a "radical" idea. This Saturday I may try to get my next weeks worth of groceries at the Farmers Market. There are certain dry goods that I might have trouble with (cereal, for instance--I don't like hot cereal/oatmeal when its warm outside and smoothies tend not to fill me as well as a bowl of cereal) but besides that, I think I might be able to do it--and keep to our $125 weekly grocery budget. I may have to have my first attempt at menu planning--and try some new recipes along the way, though!!
Exercise--not so bad either. I did take off 2 days from the bike this past weekend, BUT I did a LOT of gardening that included a lot of digging, a lot of pulling, a lot of up and downs, some sprints here and there...
Finances--If you ask my DH he'd say we're doing terrible, but I don't think we're really doing that bad--because for everything we're over budget on (gifts, mostly) we're under budget in other areas (home improvements, home furnishings). We're actually going to get an assessment on switching from traditional heating to geothermal--it would be a big up front investment, but I think it would save us money in the long run.
Spiritual--well, I haven't been going to church lately and this week was no different. I guess this is where I'm a big fat FAIL, but at the same time, I feel like I've been trying to stay on the "right" path.
