Nurses-Question regarding lead and vitamins

Someone posted this on another board and got me thinking. It's a study conducted by the FDA on lead in prenatal and children's vitamins.  http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/pbvitami.html

These are ingested amounts. From what I read Prop 65 sets the absorbed amount at 0.5 micrograms/day. The prenatals I took when I was pregnant with and nursing the boys was listed at 3.76 ingested micrograms/day. From what I can find it seems about 10% of what lead is in the GI tract gets absorbed.

I'm not so much concerned about that. I was wondering if anybody knew or had a source for reliable studies on how much lead would be passed across the placenta, if any.

TIA!
