If your truck is too big to fit in an empty garage and the size of it isn't necessary for work or a farm or something, your truck is too damn big.
I agree with this. I mean, I think she's okay looking, but she looks too boyish in the face.
I don't get AC/DC, Beatles, Alice in Chains or Guns and Roses. Everyone seems to love these bands, but I'm not crazy about them. I change the station whenever they come on. I love rock music though. Just not them.
I love 'real' country music and everything about it. And, I think most of the 'new' acts and singers suck something terribly and I can't stand their sound. Sugarland, LeAnn Rimes, Keith Urban - I'm looking at you.
Carrie Underwood irritates the hell out of me. She does have a beautiful voice and, fine, I admit that I secretly like a couple of her songs. BUT, she irritates me.
I hate it when people complain how tacky shirts with characters on it are. But when you see your kid get so excited over a stupid red monster on his shirt it doesn't matter....although I draw the line at light up shoes.
Apparently my truck is too damn big.
And I'm fvckin' proud of it!

Mine too, but that's okay. We love our big truck!

I don't see what is wrong with a billboard advertsing a group for agnostics/athiests/etc. No one is going to come take your rights to practice whatever religion you wish. Why the big deal?
On a similar topic, I don't see a big deal about the proposed mosque 2.5 blocks from ground zero.
and
I thought about including this, but I am really hoping it's not an UNpopular opinion.
And not to be nitpicky, but it's not a mosque.
It's a community center with a "prayer space".
"The official website for the facility had said it would include "a mosque, intended to be run separately from Park51 but open to and accessible to all members, visitors and our New York community".[90] By September 2010, the word mosque had been replaced with "prayer space".[8]"
Right, it's a community center that includes a place for worship. Like a chapel or something in a YMCA. Regardless, either way, the uproar against it is asinine.
Big trucks annoy me not only because they rarely fit in the garage, but because so many of them are gas guzzlers. I think I disagree with their necessity more on the gas point than the garage. If you live on a farm, or haul stuff on a regular basis, I understand. But people like me? It's unnecessary.
I don't believe in censorship of literary, theatrical, musical, or visual art (including movies) in any way, shape, or form. I don't understand why parents think that something magical happens when teenagers turn 17 that somehow they can handle "adult content" and they couldn't before. I don't see why anyone would ever ban a book. I guess I just feel if you don't like it, or agree with the material, fine; avoid it. But don't force others to miss out.
1. Absolutely. I could give two shiits if your car fits in your garage. It's about the gas, the size on the road, and the sheer wastefulness that annoys me. I was just surprised by the number of people in the garage post who said their trucks were too big to fit, even if the garage was empty.
2. My job is to pretty much make sure people (including children) have free access to information, so ditto.
I am all about people getting more fuel-efficient cars, especially if they're driving Hummers or something else ridiculous for no reason than to be cool. But it amazes me how quick you are to judge people on this board who do have larger vehicles. Personally, my husband has a reason for owning his 4-inches-too-long-for-our-garage truck. And I bet others with large vehicles have their own reasons as well. I hate that people make such quick assumptions about others based on only one fact.

I see nothing wrong with having a couple beers while I'm home alone with my child.
Take that!
I'm sure there are some who have their reasons. Now, whether or not I agree with those reasons is up for discussion. Everyone has opinions.
I do think that some people use big cars to compensate for other inadequacies in their lives. Not all, but some.
I really think that despite your disdain for my boring name and my alleged judgement of your large vehicle, you and I could totally bond over booze.
And, despite your disdain of the youneek spelling of my name and your alleged delight in creating controversy, I think we could probably have one hell of a girls' night.
I'd totally let you call me Cyerrah and start some drama in the bar.
Ooooh, I agree with this. Wholeheartedly. I am darn tired of hearing about the "biased" media when all I hear DAILY is the sliding poll numbers of President Obama and how the Dems will lose many seats within the house come Nov. Doesn't sound biased to me.
I remember always hearing about sliding poll numbers about every president. I don't think that's a conservative thing... Maybe it's just me...
To comment on the billboard comment above...my problem with it isn't the group having a billboard, I couldn't care less about that, but I think the connotation (sp?) of the billboard is a little harsh. I think it could have been done in better taste.
I don't think this is an unpopular opinion on this board but I know it is on the bump. I use a child harness for my child whenever we go out in a public place and she does not want to sit in the stroller. It looks like this:
We only really use it when we go to the zoo or something like that. She actually likes to wear it. We take the leash part off and she'll wear just the backpack part around the house.
I agree on the billboard. I understand it was probably worded that way to catch attention, but I don't think it's positive attention. It's kind of like, to me at least, saying "Hate cleaning out the litter box? Join the club!" I would think that a more positive approach would be better received with the media...even if the media (and I agree that it is) is biased.
ETA: I also want to make it clear that it bothers me absolutely ZERO that this group has a billboard up. I just wish they could have found a more uplifting/positive way to advertise. I would feel exactly the same way if a church put up a billboard that said "Don't feel like going to hell? Join the club."
I swore up and down I would never use anything like this on my kids before I had kids. Now, I would totally do it. V usually sits in the stroller so I haven't had to, but I would. I have realized that pretty much everything I said I would never do as a parent I have done or will do. Funny how your opinion changes once you have kids!
I never saw the big deal with these, honestly. It just ensures that your kids aren't running off everywhere, and it doesn't hurt anybody. I think that people who get upset at these things are just LOOKING for things to fuss about, you know?
