So I have a ttc question.
Yesterday I went to the gyno and I told them I haven't had AF since I got of bc in April. They told me that its normal for the body to catch up and gave me a pill to make it start. I told him that I have never been regular and he said I may be a "non ovulator" if I keep being irregular. He said I may have a harder time ttc but will have to take clomid. Anyone have any experience with that? DH and I wont be ttc for a while but just curious to what may happen in the future.
Re: So I have a ttc question.
No experience with clomid... but, I highly suggest you look into charting - at least to determine if you are/aren't ovulating. That way you know what you are working with, and it will help your GYN figure out the best tactic to get you going with TTC when the time comes!
I agree with pp... I am still on BCP but have been charting this month just to get the hang of it and will get off the pill in November since CJ and I are going to try FAM... Bus if you are off the pill and concerned of ovulating or not charting is the best option really to see what you body is doing. If you are unsure how to begin charting I highly recommend you buy and read Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It goes over everything you need to know about charting and your body.
I am a non-ovulating girl so I am happy to help with any questions you have. I highly recommend TCOYF like Jenn suggested it is a great book and to start charting. It will at least give you a baseline to see if you are ovulating.
I have done Clomid and Femara plus many other IF drugs so I am here to help, just let me know what questions you have. I am jumping back into the IF fun again...this time I am going the natural path and seeing a naturalist first.
I am also a non-ovulator and have taken clomid and tother fertilithy drugs before. We had to do fertility treatments to have LO.
First you need to determine if in fact you arent Oing and the only way you can do that with accuracy is by charting. I agree with the PPers that you shou;d buy Taking Charge of Your Fertility!
Also, you defianlty want a complete blood work panel on varying cycle days to determine if it is a horman imbalance, or something of that nature thats causing you not to get AF.
No offense to you OB, but it sounds like he is totally jumping the gun. Yes, he is right you may need clomid- but there are many many things that you need to do before you can make that determination.
