Alterations Rec

I have some clothes that need to be altered. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can bring them?

Can I bring them to Nordstroms or another Dept. store even though they weren't purchased there?

Louise Kegley does clothing alterations too. I have a couple friends who have brought pants and stuff to her. I keep meaning to call her, as I have a bunch of stuff that needs to be taken in, I just haven't taken the time. She's only about 2 miles from my house.

I second that! I just got to see her on Thursday for a bridesmaid dress alteration.  She's quick and very affordable!    I told her that I'd go through my closet just to find clothes for her to alter so I can come back to visit!

When I worked at Dayton's/Marshall Field's, the alterations department would alter other goods, but they charged more and you would have to wait a little longer.  I don't know if Macy's still does that or not - probably wouldn't hurt to check.  Check Bloomingdale's too.

Louise Kegley is great to work with. My wedding dress arrived only three days before the wedding. I let her know about the situation in advance and she was "on call" for me. I know you're not looking to alter a wedding dress but it just shows how amazing she is and has fantastic customer service.

If you just need basic alterations, I would go to one of those mall alteration/tailors. I have always had good luck and they are quite speedy. I have been to the Stitch It Alterations at the Eden Prairie mall and at Southdale.
