Hello everyone!
My name is Robyn and I am new to the Wisconsin board. I am originally
from Indiana and moved to Wisconsin in the fall of 2009 for graduate
school. I moved home for summer vacation and married the love of my
life. Now I am back in Wisconsin living in Waukesha and going to school
again. The DH is living and working in Ohio so it is just me.
I am looking for a good vet in the area. If anyone has any recommendations that would be fantastic. Thanks and I hope you all have a great weekend!!
Re: New(ish) to Wisconsin
Welcome back! Where are you going to school, and for what? When do you graduate? Are you moving back to OH once you graduate? I'm sure it's rough being away from your DH - but at least OH isn't impossibly far away to make short visits!
Vets?I am in Franklin, and the Forest Home Animal Clinic is wonderful. In the Waukesha area I'm not sure what to recommend, but I know there are lots to choose from in that area.
If you are not busy with school/work on the 14th, come join us for the Milwaukee area GTG!
Thank you! I am going to school at Mt. Mary College for Occupational Therapy. I will graduate in a year and a half but may only be in WI for a year. I will be moving back to Indiana.
Thanks for the vet recommendation. Where is the GTG and what time? I might come if I don't have a lot to do that night. Thank you for the invitation.

Depending on where you are in Waukesha, this would be a 20-25 minute drive for you?Come if you can!
Welcome!
You should definately try to join us if you can make it.
Welcome! My ILs live in Waukesha and go to a really good vet. I'll ask them and let you know later this week.
Also, you should join us if you can! I'm pretty excited about it.
Hey there...
Just read your post, and I know its almost two weeks old...but I thought I'd comment anyway.
We live in New Berlin and are taking our pup to Spirit of 76th in West Allis (76th Street & Lincoln Ave.). They are absolutely wonderful, and I would recommend them to anyone. Very friendly, super accommodating, and always follow up with a check up call to see how everything is going. Very impressive!
Not sure if you ended up finding a vet already or not, but I hope that helps you haven't.
I don't know if you found a vet or not yet but I HIGHLY recommend Elmbrook Veterinary Clinic in Brookfield. I've been taking my dogs there for 10 years. They are wonderful!!! The vet I recommend there the most is Dr. Yahle. He is truly wonderful. Every time we take our Vizsla in he sits down on the floor with her and plays with her before he starts the exam. He always answers any questions we have. There have been a few times when our Vizsla wasn't feeling well and had to go in. If they don't have any open appointments they have let us drop her off in the morning and pick her up after work, they fit her in when they can. They have a brand new office on Janacek Rd. I really can't say enough about how wonderful everyone is at Elmbrook.
