To the Teachers out there...
Okay it's been a while since I posted the start of the school year has been hectic! Anyways, I know that a few of you are teachers out there and I have to take the AEPA Professional Knowledge (Elementary) tomorrow. Has anyone out there taken it? What's it like? I'm not too worried about it but I want to make sure I'm ready. I looked at the objectives on the study guide online and I think I will be fine... but any input would be great!
Re: To the Teachers out there...
I took the secondary ed. test (and the English test), so I can't advise you specifically to the elementary ed. test, but from what I can remember about the secondary ed. test, there were a lot of examples of situations and you choosing what you would do. Some of them I thought were somewhat unfair since I thought a few answers could have gone different ways depending on different teaching styles, but I tried to pick the best choice I could (and especially applying it to educational theories).
When I took the test (in 2005 - so it could be different now), I remember there was a practice test online. I thought that helped.
I definitely remember being super stressed out about it though, and I did better than I expected to. So, study, brush up on educational theories and child psychology theories, take the practice tests if you can find some, and trust your instincts!
