My iPhone is supposed to come in on Tuesday so I'm trying to find a good case for it.
I
think I'm leaning more towards an Otterbox, because I've heard that
they're good about protecting your phone. I noticed that there are 3
different kinds though and not sure which one to get. There is a
defender (the most expensive), the commuter (mid-price) and then the
impact (least expensive).
So, tell me what you know about Otterboxes. If you have another kind of case for your iPhone, I'd love to hear about that too.
Re: iPhone Cases
My brother (an EMT) and DH (an engineer who goes into the field often) both have Otterbox Defenders and love them. Their phones tend to see a lot of abuse, and the Defender has served them both well.
The downside is that it is a little bulky, but it does have the clip, which makes it easy to carry.
I don't need anything that robust, so I just ordered a case from Amazon last week. I haven't received it yet, so I can't give any feedback.

I've got an iSkin Solo FX and I love it.

I've always been a fan of the iSkin line of products and it hasn't let me down yet.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
I have the Incase Slider and love it. Had one for my 3G and now the 4 and they're hands down my favorite cases.
I've heard good things about Otterboxes, but they're way to bulky for me.
My Blog
I have an iFrogz case and really like it. Its not bulky at all, but its still a hard case that protects my phone really well. I've dropped it a few times and my phone (and case) is fine.
DH has the Otterbox commuter, and I don't like it. Its really flimsy for a "hard" case.
This! My DH, also, an engineer...puts ALOT of abuse in his phone and the defender has done him so very well. Dust & gunk build up in the holes though so I take a q-tip to when I get the chance.
I also have the cute pink & black defender and I love that my phone is protected, but have to agree it's very bulky, Like, doesn't fit in to your pants pocket bulky.
Also, if you have an off brand charger, it doesn't fit into the space provided by case...so if you have a car charger make sure it's "AT&T"
