How did I miss this?! Whatever...I am so excited to be here with you girls.
Would like to share that I am planning an elegant Halloween Dinner for my close friends mid-Oct, and just scored some lovely ornate candle holders from Home Goods Store aka TJMaxx. Pretty psyched...may PIP later.
Anyone else got any fun plans looming now that we've sort of had some time to come down from post-wedding fatigue?? (well at least us early-Auggie brides) :-)
Re: When did we cross-over?!
Oh, elegant Halloween dinner party sounds great! Any idea what you're planning on serving? I love TJMaxx.
My most fun planning thing now is a bachelorette party and shower for my best friend from college. She's getting married in June, but all of our friends are scattered around the country, so it's going to take some time to figure out and plan.
Planning on serving this as of right now, but I'd need to like triple the recipe because it only serves 4...and I'm serving 14! http://tastybusiness.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Trying to think of a salad and maybe a biscuit or bread to pair, and I may make homemade pumpkin ice cream. Of course I'll need yummy appetizers too...
Suggestions?
btw where will your friend's bach be held? Lucky for her you've gone thru it all :-)
Yum! Let me know how it turns out - we love new things to add to our rotation. H suggests making like garlic bread with smoked gouda melted on it to pair. I'll think about appetizer ideas
Her bach (and her wedding) will be held in Atlanta. I don't know much about the city, but she's started giving me ideas of what she wants. She likes the idea of little appetizer foods, and girly drinks and also wants to go bowling. I need to start looking into alley's in the area and see if they'd let us bring food/drinks. Otherwise we'll start probably at her house and then head out. I'd also like to find a place with a regular bar nearby in case she decided she'd like some dancing time in a bar. She thinks she doesn't like to dance - but then she gets drunk and ready to go! It is so fun to plan things from this side
haha tell your DH that ANYTHING with melted cheese is ok by me!!!
Sounds like a really fun evening for your friend's bach. I can't wait til some of my other friends get engaged...funny enough the girl who caught my bouquet is very likely to be one of the next girls...and I've got dibs on throwing her lingerie shower!
One of my bridesmaids got engaged 3 days before my wedding, so I'm still in wedding mode!! And let me tell you, it's WAY more fun helping with hers. All the fun, none of the stress!!
I also started a new job, and I have the best of intentions for creating a scrapbook of wedding momentos.
