Bunco Ideas

Every month my friends and I have Bunco and everybody picks a month to have it at their house.  Well this month is my month and I just wanted to get some ideas of what to make for the girls.  Sometimes we just do some appetizers and other times people have done meals, so I am open to suggestions for both.

Also, I want to do something fun for this months Bunco and was thinking of maybe a theme.  Any ideas for a theme?

I have never been to a Bunco party..surprising since i am a teacher and it seems to be all teachers i know play! But I did just host a Stella and Dot jewelry party and had to serve light apps. I made mini tomato caprese sticks. Basically buy small cherry tomatoes, a container of the mini buffalo mozzarella balls and a package of fresh basil. I cut the cheese balls in half, and chop up the basel into tiny strips.  throw everything into a bowl and pour a little olive oil, salt and pepper in to coat. then skewer them onto toothpicks. they were a huge hit!

I'm hosting our bunco night in October!  I'm going with a fall theme for food---chili, cornbread, veggies, and chips and salsa. For desert, I'm making mini cream puffs/eclairs (my specialty!) and mini cheesecakes (pumpkind and carmel apple).  I"m so excited!

 Other things that have been served in my circle of bunco friends is lasanga; pasta (w/ a choice of red or white sauce);  sub sandwhiches;  and build your own tacos.  Hope this helps!

Our bunco crowd does casseroles, chili, baded ziti, build your own pizza, tacos, baked potato, and easy stuff like this.

Fall foods is a good theme to stick to right now.
