Hello all,
I'm sort of at my wit's end. I really want to buy some low/no VOC's paint (and carpet) to paint several rooms in our house and refinish our basement. However, I'm just getting overwhelmed and we don't exactly have a large budget. On top of all that, I'm pregnant so I am extra paranoid about this stuff.
This article is pretty good, but I'm not sure if it is spot on or being extra-safe paranoid.

Pluse, the paints listed are not really close to where Ilive/work/shop.
Any suggestions on VOC's in pregnancy, or how to do this green AND on a budget? I'm also looking for paint rec's, too!
Thanks!
Re: Advice on Green Paints
Look for sales. We got low VOC paint for our home and I couldn't even smell it when standing beside Joe who was painting. I did not do any of the painting while pregnant though. Just my own comfort zone, regardless if it was low VOC paint.
Here is what we used.
Freshaire & Olympic and maybe a Sherwin WIlliams. We of course need the paint NOW.
DH is refinishing door and just has to paint it. If I don't get the paint in the next 2 days, he probably won't do it...
There are some Benjamin Moore paints that I could go see about, but it's outside of our normal live/work/shop driving area...
