T & P needed

I have 2 requests.

First, for my grandmother. She is not doing well at all and I dont think she has a per say physical aliment but I think she is depressed. She has stopped eating almost altogether. Saturday we had a cookout at my parents house and she came and she is so weak and ate maybe 4 bites hardly drank anything. I know recently her dog she has had for awhile passed and I think she is depressed. She went to her dr last week and they gave her some medicine to bring her appetite back. But I think she needs something more than just that medicine. Like I said before I think she is depressed and feeling sorry for herself. Please pray for me and my family as we are trying to find her the best care we can.

Second, T aunt was told Friday she had breast cancer it is in both breasts. She has scheduled for a masectomy and while they are doing that they are going to put her some implants in. She will have to go through chemo but right now I am not sure how much. The bad part dr. that diagnosed her told her that she had 3 months to live. So the whole family was upset MIL called me crying.  But she went to see a surgeon who did a full body scan and said the cancer had not spread anywhere and was just in her breasts and he thought after getting a masectomy and chemo she would be ok.

  • I am definitely sending t&p. Is it possible to get grandmother another dog? I know my granny was depressed after her dog died and family gave her another dog (little older and well trained) and it seemed to lift her spirits. Didn't know if that might help her.

  • heather i mentioned that we might get her another dog and she shot the idea down immediately.

i just got off the phone with my mom. she is away on business right now and will be back wednesday but she said her and my dad are going to go talk to her when she gets back. we both seem to think that she is just depressed and may need to get on some anti depressants. we know she went to the dr last week like i said before and i am really frustrated with her care she got at the dr office. she is obviously weak and really she needed to have been admitted to the hospital for fluids if she is not dehydrated it will be a shock to me.

my mom had me call the dr office and see if my parents could go back in the room with her and the dr. and since my grandmother signed over where my dad could get her records and stuff then they can. my dad is suppose to be calling to get her medical records so we can look at them before the dr visit.

honestly i think she is feeling sorry for herself. my mom told me she made some comments that seems to make us think that.

just keep us in your prayers it is going to be hard for my dad.

  • i'm so sorry carmen. prayers for you and your family!
  • Wow Carmen :(  I hope your Grandma gets better, it sounds like she is really depressed about her dog (and thats normal).

I cant believe drs sometimes, they really are idiots.  I know someone who had a double mastectomy and she's doing great now.  I didnt know they could add implants right away- thats great!  Hope she has a quick and short recovery!

I will pray for everyone, including you.  Let me know if you need anything.
