I am still alive.
I am almost feeling normal again with just a little ache in my side. I am getting ready to walk out the door to see my GI Dr. I am not sure if anyone knows but I have ulcerative colitis so I want to see if she thinks the pain is coming from my colon instead of an organ. I couldn't get in for an ultrasound until tomorrow morning so I figured I would get another opinion while I had the time off work and while I still have insurance through my job.
Off I go...

My doctor suggested that since the pain seems to be getting better to wait it out before I get the ultrasound and that it is probably because my colon is inflammed.
I met with my Dr. in July because my original RXs (very expensive) weren't working so she put me on different ones. Today I went in to tell her that wasn't working either so she gave me the option of an expensive enema+expensive pill combo or expensive pills+expensive suppository combo lol. Literally there are no generics available for me and I am getting so irritated that I pay for my appointments with the Dr and they can't even help me.
She thought she was being generous today by giving me a co pay discount card for $50 off the prescription lol.. which is nice and all but $400-50=still expensive and that is only for one of them and I take two.
On a better note, the advantage to neither of us being employed is that I may actually qualify for some patient assistance programs through the manufacturer of the drugs. I am just going to have to do a lot of calling around. Right now I get them from a Canadian pharmacy but it is still $250 per RX which isn't feasible with neither of us working.
Ninja--I really hope you feel better soon and that you are able to get some kind of assistance to help with those copays. Holy s**t those sound expensive!!
My day was ok. Kind of a crappy day at work. I had taken Friday off to stay home with DD because she has been sick so I played catch up a lot at work today. Then I went grocery shopping and to see my mom after work so I didn't get home until 9 pm. Being gone from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm is a long day!
Ninja...with both of you unemplyed, maybe consider some public assistance until you go back to work.
I worked...busy since co-worker's mother passed away, so we are a bit short staffed this week. then I took DD to the kids urgent care in east lansing. She had diarrhea for about 3-4 days last week and she is still having some issues, so I wne to get her checked out (with no back-up at work, I cannot leave during the day and DH is swapmed as well). She seems to be on the mend, but wanted to be sure nothing else is going on. we get to collect "samples" and drop them at the lab to make sure it is nothing.

Were you able to function today? You must have gotten back from DTW super late last night! I hope DD is okay...poor baby. There is definitely some type of stomach bug going around. Hope she gets better soon.
Maybe we all just had a case of the Mondays!
