Are cooling racks oven safe?

I noticed on the Food Network that some chefs bake/roast chicken in the oven using what looks like a cooling rack inside of a baking sheet. I looked around at Bed Bath & Beyond for one but couldn't find what they were using. Are they just essentially using a cookie cooling rack? Are they even oven safe?

I used mine in the oven to finish off some fried chicken and it worked just fine...so yes, I imagine they're oven safe.

they are probably using broiler racks (which fit into the broiler pan) which look similar to cooling wracks but can take the heat.

I've used a cooling rack in the oven. They are good for baking breaded things to get a crispier texture.

I use my cookie cooking racks to cook in the oven.  In fact, I made steaks on them using the broiler last night & it was just fine.

I had never heard of this until recently. We did chicken on cooling racks on a cookie sheet. Worked perfectly.

I have these and I have baked on them as high as 450 to make crispy bacon.

I looked everywhere and never could figure out if they were truly oven safe or not, but they worked for me!

I use mine to cook bacon and everything has come out fine.
