If you're near Raleigh NC
Plant Delights Nursery is having it's last open house of the season this weekend (Sept 18 & 19). There's still plenty of good stuff, if you're interested in rare and exotic perennials. I made a purchasing trip there on Sunday.
Check out their online catalog. But be forewarned: the pictures look far better than the plants they have available (like the pictures at Burger King), and they are TINY. And expensive. I dropped a few hundred bucks on about a dozen plants.
