Massage recs?

I told DH I would LOVE a massage for my birthday, however I've never had one before. Anyone have any recommendations for good places? We live in St. Louis Park, so anywhere near Minneapolis/western suburbs would work.

I see Mary at Precision Chiro in Plymouth. It is not a spa atmosphere and she does really deep tissue work so if you are looking for a light massage it might not be right for you. I need the deep tissue so I love her, plus it is only $39 for an hour.

Holly at Salon Junallo in Richfield on Penn Ave is awesome. Plus you get a discount for your first time.

I grind my teeth at night so she showed me how to do some massage at home too.

I like the Sanctuary Spa and Salon in Downtown Minneapolis.  They give a great massage and use Aveda products.

I am curious to try the new spa that's off of Hennepin Ave in the old library building.  Lifetime just opened the spa there, I think it's called Lifespa.

I had a great facial at the Lifetime Spa inside Lifetime Fitness in St. Louis Park. Can't remember who did it, but I loved the atmosphere.

Amelia was great at the SLP Lifetime.  I *think* you can go to the LifeSpa without being a member? 

I would avoid Massage Envy.
