Puppy going in for surgery

Got the puppy scheduled to get spayed in October. Hoping that she doesn't go into heat before then. (Just don't want to deal with that.)

I also can't believe how expensive it is. :( We called around and our regular vet is the cheapest. But dang. Plus the girl has to stay there overnight to make sure she is okay.

Re: Puppy going in for surgery

  • We got our dog spayed for ~$60 at the Animal Protection League in Springfield last November.  I couldn't believe the ridiculous prices that were quoted to us.  We were getting our two males dogs neutered at the same time and definitely couldn't afford $1000 for three dogs.  They mentioned the craziest things, too.  Lasers, among others.  Lasers?  Really?

We got 1 female spayed, 2 males neutered, and shots for less than $200. Our dogs were perfectly fine when I picked them up the next morning.
