Jackson...Here we come!
I am moving to Jackson,ms in December.So, if anyone can help with any of my questions I would appreciate it. Where do I go to look for a job? Where are the nice neighborhoods or apartments to live? Is Jackson a nice place to live? What can my family do there?

welcome to ms - as you can see, no one really uses this board much at all. Nice places to live: Madison, Ridgeland, and Clinton are nice & safe. There are bad parts and good parts of Jackson. Do your research. You probably don't want to live in Jackson proper, but a lot of the areas surrounding Jackson are nice. My husband is originally from around Jackson, we now live in northern MS but email us if you have any other questions!

I moved from Dallas to Jackson two years ago....I live in Belhaven, within walking distance from downtown. Coming from Vegas you will probably be sorely disappointed...sorry. We also have a lot in Lost Rabbit in Madison which is nice. I'm not sure if we'll ever build though.
What is your price point for a home? Are you willing to send your children to private school or are you okay with public. These are HUGE questions to be answered before you try finding a home in the Jackson area. Public school isn't really an option in Jackson-unfortunately.
