using airline miles?

have you ever used airline miles to travel?

i never have.. i have membership cards to all the airlines i used to travel when i lived in FL (airtran, continental, delta, american........i usually just chose the airline that got me to TX the cheapest) well, dh and i have a lot of Continental and Delta miles and it is so crazy to me that we could possibly go to, like, bangkok, thailand on just a ticketing fee of less than $80/ticket!! reeeediculous!

Re: using airline miles?

  • DH and I use miles to buy tickets all the time (he racked up a LOT of miles flying back and forth between Seattle and Denver every week for 3 years!).  We haven't used them to fly internationally yet, but Frontier (the airline most of our miles are on) does fly to Costa Rica...so that's an option for a trip next year.

  • All the time! My dad lets me use his on United a lot which is awesome. The only issue is they have a lot of restrictions as to black out dates and places they make you fly through, but it's well worth it!
