it is still late...LOL, but ....I am going to AW about my first monogram card set! YES!!!! i am giving these as part of a gift for a shower tomorrow...
crappy pic....but whatever! LOL i used a few 3-d pops that you can't really see in the pic...and some brads and ribbons (my new love!)....blowin up!

i had no idea the satc movie was out yet! i completed my collection of the shows a few months ago when they went on sale at target (17.99 each - i couldn't believe it). must.buy.the.movie!!!

the movie actually doesn't come out till tuesday....but i ordered it on amazon with a gift card my sister gave me....and i guess they shipped it early so i might have it by the time it is released! i am excited to watch it again!
o i am sure she will love them. when do you usually have your parties (weekdays/weekends)? my sis lives in b'ham now (she's going to grad school at uab), so i always have an excuse to go down there

the demonstrator that got me into stampin up (a friend from work actually) ...she doesn't live around here anymore...so the last few get togethers that have been held haven't been "stampin' up" parties....they have been more like "bring you crap and play around!" LOL
i have a few stampin up sets, but most of my stamps are coming from places like michaels and such.... although, i love the stampin up products....they are just expensive! i love their cardstock though....
we should organize another one....complete with wassail! LOL
Oh...I totally forgot...talking about food and SATC got my mind off track :P

o ok, yea i am actually going to another "stampin' up" party next tues. i love making the cards, but the sets are rather pricey, so i never walk away with anything. i was actually in michael's the other day thinking that i would love to get some stamps, etc to make my own cards, but seeing as i'm not creative, i need a little direction, and wouldn't really know what to buy. it's so overwhleming starting from nothing - lol. but your party would be a great excuse for me to get some stuff to start my collection!
o, and i've never heard of wassail! sounds like i have to try it - lol.

there is a GREAT website and forum called www.splitcoaststampers.com and they have message boards and galleries and stuff...and i have found GREAT inspiration over there.... i enjoy it....
if i had to give advice (and maybe some of the other gals that stamp can share their experience?) i would say start with some el cheapo cardstock at michaels or hobby lobby....get basic colors....pick up a few fun sheets of scrapbook paper (usually super cheap!) and just play around! buy a few "anytime" stamps at michaels and start by making some thank you cards or something....you can always use those!
that is if you really do want to buy a few things and open up your world to that.... LOL, it will take over your life eventually! HA!

michaels and hobby lobby have lots of cheap stuff if you ever wanted to get back into it....
