My husband is turning 30 next month and is really not looking forward to it. He is telling me he doesn't want to celebrate or even think about it. I want to convince him to have a good time and have a positive attitude because his turning 30 no matter what. How do I do this?
Due to situations out of our control, his last 2 birthdays were not fun so I really wanted to go all out this year but am not sure if he'll get mad or look back and think I glad she did that.
What should I do?
Re: Husband's 30th birthday
Is there a fun trip that he would like to do? DH's 30th is right around the Kentucky Derby. So he wants to do a trip to the derby.
Any sports game that he might like that you can get tickets for?
There is also stuff on this site such as him riding in a NASCAR vehicle, Air Combat Dogfight , Hot air ballon ride, Indy Drag Race Cars etc. http://www.xperiencedays.com/Chicago_Gifts.html
It's pricey, but I would expect it to be memorable.
Can you afford to take a trip? My husband & all his buddies turned 30 this year, so a group of us are taking a cruise in a few weeks to celebrate. We've been planning this for a few years and it's a bit more of a celebration than just their birthdays but it sure made turning 30 easier for them!
A vacation is usually a good idea..... just make sure it's all planned out
Or.... if you don't want to spend the time/money away but still want to have a good time, there's always the really nice hotels downtown you can get a good price on from Hotwire.com. Maybe stay a night or two in a super romantic room (honeymoon suite?) and take a sunset boat ride on the lake or something. Sometimes it's just the nice, simple things that mean the most
