From the feedback I've been getting here and on Facebook, it looks like Sunday, October 17th works best for you and your families.  

It's over a month away, so I'll post later with more deets.  

**SD - There is a Chargers game, but it starts at 10 AM.

I went to a GTG in 2007 and I would like to attend another one and get to know some of you all. Does anyone think that it's weird or too late for me since the last one?

My eagles game starts at 10 am also that week.  I just checked it.  Probably a little too early!!

DH is a HUGE Redskins fan & that game is the late one.  Don't know if anyone else would care about seeing it. They play the colts. Actually....  I don't know if my husband will even leave our place to go to a GTG while the game is on.

Anyway I'll be there with fun appetizers & maybe (?) DH. 

Scarlett--Hope I'll get to sample that buffalo dip I keep hearing about. Yum!

Yay - the Oregon board finally decided to load for me today.  Does that happen to anyone else?  The board not loading 95% of the time?  All of the rest of them are fine. 

ANYway, Jeff and I will be there.  He's excited about football, and food.  I'm going to bring the rhubarb dessert that I froze, which will hopefully have survived the freezing.  I'll probably bring something else, too.  Baked brie?  Caramel brownies?  Lush slush? 

And ditto weisens, Scarlett!  I'm craaaving some buffalo chicken dip.  And jalapeno popper dip, too, SD!  : )

hahahaha!  Yes!! I think that makes a good argument. I just think he was worried that the GTG would end right in the middle of his game.... but if you don't mind if we stay for the whole game then I guess there's really no issue at all.  We'll be there.

Would it be alright if I came too?  I've never met any of you, except through this board.  We moved to Portland not too long ago and we only got married 3 months ago, so that's about as long as I've been paying attention to The Nest.  I'd love to meet some of my fellow Nesties!  You all have been so nice and informative when I've asked for info in the past.  Unfortunately, DH works Sundays, but I'm available for a little while & I can bring food!  ;-)

Jennbent, I'm not sure if I'm able to make it yet, but if I do you can be my date since H works Sundays also.  We can also commiserate about how much it sucks to have a spouse who works weekends.

I am sad- I can't make the date like I thought I was going to be able to, but at least I can't make it for good reasons!! Our anniversary is the 21st, so we're getting out of town that weekend. Maybe I can make the next one! Have fun!

Aye aye, cap'n!  I'm south of you a little ways - Johnson Creek, about 51st.  Am I remembering correctly that Anne is somewhere in Vancouver?  If so, and if my schedule ends up working out (still not sure), I could easily swing by to get you and then hit 205.

I live in Woodland, which is exit 22 (so 22 miles north of Oregon).  It's a bit of a drive, but it'll be fun!
