And my hatred of the Yankees continues....

I almost had some respect for Jeter. Almost. As much as I can muster for any Yankees player that is.

  • haha...I love when athletes get caught acting. My favorite is near the end of a basketball game when a team has no time outs and needs a break. Happens all the time.

  • I watched most of that game...but I missed that dramatic series unfold. Dang.

It's hilarious when people get caught in the act. As pp said, totally happens all the time in basketball [flopping, anyone?].

  • Ha. I just wrote another article about this in my blog.
  • Am I the only one who doesn't think this is that big of a deal? So what? The guy acted a little bit - happens all the time in basketball and soccer even. It's not Jeter's fault that the umpire's got the call wrong.

I think it's only a big deal because it was Derek Jeter. I love the Yankees but I'll always call someone out on something if it's wrong but come on....if you were given a free base would you really speak up, doubtful...

a little bit?? he was writhing around like he'd been shot! he even let the trainers come out and waste everyone's time  checking out his "injury".  flopping in basketball or soccer (and in soccer you can get a penalty for it) is totally different than pretending to be hurt for no reason.

How is it totally different if they are both faking it?
