...prove residence at a past address? I apparently have "unclaimed property" with the State of Wisconsin when I was living there. Nothing huge. $30 from what I assume is a rebate from the store I bought a camera at in 2004.
In order for me to obtain this unclaimed property, I have to provide evidence that I was living at the address on file (my parents address). I lived with my parents my last year of college for to be closer to my student teaching locations. I don't have old driver's licenses, I didn't pay utility bills, and any bank accounts/cell phone bills I had at the time have been long closed. I have had three addresses since then.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what I could provide to prove I lived there?
Re: Any idea how I can....
Would they accept an affidavit from someone who knew you lived there? I remember when I was renewing my driver's license and had to prove my address, they said two notarized affidavits would work.
As far as I could tell, it just needed to say
"I so and so, state that Karen lived on such and such street, WI from X date to Y date."

I can certainly call and ask! I'd like to think it would be simpler.
This was my thought. the school should have your parents' address on file as your permanent residence regardless.
