Halloween: Couple Costumes

This year my sister in law wants to have a halloween party and I am super excited about it! I love halloween (it's my dad's birthday too!) and so does my sister in law and her hubby.  But my hubby is not big on dressing up :-( but he knows that this time around, he has no choice! LOL

So I need good ideas for couple costumes.  DIY or Store bought doesn't matter but I don't want to break the bank either.

Here are a couple I have already thought of:

-Rogger Rabbit & Jessica Rabbit

-Woody & Jessie (they were our rehearsal dinner cake toppers LOL)

-Johnny Cash & June Carter

Ok now I want to hear your ideas! I want this year to be awesome! :-)

  • This year Hubby and I are going as Kermit and Miss Piggy. I bought a set of ears and a pig tail on Halloween clearance last year, so I'll just curl my hair and wear a dress. Hubby has a bright green shirt and I'll make Kermit's pointy collar out of felt and pin it to his shirt.
  • My response is a little late, but we attended a famous couples themed Halloween Party last year and here are a few things I can remember:

Barbie and Ken (DH and I)
    Kelly and Zach
Marilyn Monroe and the baseball player she was with (can't remember name)
    Edward and Bella
    Napolean Dynamite and his girlfriend
    John and Kate (hilarious costume)

  • We're doing Lucy and Charlie Brown.
  • We are going as Peggy and Al Bundy from " Married with Children"  My FH is also not huge on dressing up, so this is great because all he has to wear is a Bundy jersey found online for $20 and jeans he already has!
  • Last year we went as mom and the milkman.
  • DH and I have gone as:

-Sam and Alice (from Brady Bunch)

    -Gilligan and Ginger

Local resale shops help finding costumes/inspiring ideas! Good luck!

  • Obviously for my suggestion you would need a sense of humor, but what about Tiger and Elin Woods. I am an education major, and was at a local high school today observing, and with it being homecoming week, they dressed up today. One couple in particular caught my eye!

She was wearing a pink dress, heels, and her purse had monopoly money falling out of it. And she was carrying a bent golf club! He was wearing golf gear with dirt on his pants, a black eye, and had a few scratches drawn on his face, neck and arms.

I thought it was so cute, and if my husband and I were attending a party this year, we wood be the Woods!
