Chicago Shopping Trip
Me and a friend are planning a shopping trip to Chicago for tomorrow and Saturday. We are thinking about staying on the Magnificent Mile. Does anyone have any hotel suggestion or stores that we should for sure go to?

We love the W lakeshore, Peninsula, Park Hyatt and the Omni hotels! They are all on the Magnificent Mile.
What type of shopping are you trying to do, Michigan Ave ranges from Forever 21-Louis Vuitton, something for everyone.
I love the Four Seasons. Their afternoon tea service is the best in the city. The W Lakeshore is very cool, although it's a few blocks away from Michigan Ave.
Regarding the shopping:
1) The Michigan Ave stores are (for the most part) what you'll find in any American mall. Victoria's Secret, Gap, etc. Yawn.
2) The more expensive boutiques such as Chanel and LV are on the north end (although Burberry is in the middle). You can get Dior at Sak's. Prada, Hermes, and Barneys are near Rush and Oak, which is just a few blocks over. Barney's has a great restaurant on the top floor.
3) Don't forget the neighborhoods! That's where you'll find more unique boutiques. Try Milwaukee Ave in Wicker Park, Division in Ukranian Village, and Armitage in Lincoln Park. All are very close to public transportation and have lots of interesting restaurants.
