Anyone believe in ghosts/angels?
I am bored at home watching Paranormal State, and it got me thinking about who on here believes in ghosts/angels/demons?
If you have had any paranormal experiences please share!
Re: Anyone believe in ghosts/angels?
I very much so believe in all of this...
Here is an angle story...
so when I was a freshman in high school my grandfather past away and we got the call at 2am from my grandma, I remember going back to my room still crying and as I laid in bed a man all in white "walk" into my room and sat next to me on my bed... he dried my tears told me not to be scared and closed my eyes. As soon as my eyes closed I was in an all white room and there was a window and the curtains were flowing because the window was open but it took my attention to a table on the other side of this room. On this table was white lily's with two pictures, one of a young lady and one of a young man... I didn't recognize either of them and was way confused. Once I was calm my eyes opened and the man was walking back out of my room. When we went to WA we were staying at my grandma's and one her wall were a ton of pictures and one I recognized right away, I asked my grandma who it was and she said it was my aunt... who had died the year before. then we get to the reception after the services and there were pictures every where of my grandpa and the picture in the white room was there, it was my grandpa and I truly believe it was an angle that came to me that night to let me know they were both ok and not to be sad because they were both in a better place... ever since then I have never felt like I was alone.
Here is a ghost story?
When my sister and I first started living together back in 2003 out apartment was right behind the cemetery, so if you went out our back patio and looked to the right you could see it. any ways the first few months were fine then one night I was laying in bed and I hear a noise, but my sister was already asleep so I knew it wasn?t her? so I listened more closely and it was the sounds of a rocking chair creaking and a lady humming?I never saw her but I could definitely hear her. Then one night my sister was hanging out and while the lady was humming something was tapping in my sister?s room. We asked our land lord and she told us that she had a few other tenants from that same apartment mention it to her as well. They weren?t annoying at all or mean they just like to hang out? it never made me feel creped out or anything?
Here is another story? not so much a demon story but I will leave that up to you.
Every once in a while I will be laying in bed and something will come over me and I feel as though I am being held down and then my eyes will shut no matter how hard I try to keep them open and I will hear or see things, like once just before I left my ex (who was verbally abusive) this happened and what I saw was me, being punched and thrown around the living room of his mom?s house but I could never see the person who was doing it, I saw their body but not their face. No matter how hard I try to scream or get out of the hold I can?t and then after about 15 or 20 min it ends and then it was like nothing happened but I can still remember the visions I saw?.
i believe in ALL of this. i consider myself more spiritual then religionist. i dont have stories of my own but my mil is very into the ghosts/angels thing and i can share a story from my husbands family...
my in laws are originally from colombia. alex has a cousin (lets call him s) whos father died in a very tragic way. s's dad was brothers with alex's dad. their entire family all got along great and they would spend time together nearly everyday - dinners, the children would go over to play after school, etc. one evening s's mother called alex's mom (ana) super late at night crying and worried. s's dad hadnt came home that night. quickly ana got her to clam down and she told her not to worry, she would make the calls and find out where he was. they hung up and ana's first thought was to call the morgue. she thought noo no i cant just yet. she called other family, his work, hospitals, etc. everywhere but the morgue. alex's younger brother (ray) was just a baby at this time. by this time it was early morning and time to wake up ray for his feeding. ana opened the door to ray's room and she saw that he was already awake...she got closer to the crib and she could feel like someone else was in the room. ray was staring up, smiling, and waving his hands in the air. she turned back around (exiting the room) and she saw the vision of s's dad standing there. she ran to the phone to finally call the morgue. she described specifically what she saw s's dad wearing and they confirmed he was indeed there. she then went over to s's parents house and asked s's mom what he was last wearing...it was exactly what ana saw he had on in ray's room. he was attacked and beaten badly on his way home from work that day.
wow i cant believe you lived right behind a cemetery!! everytime i drive past one i cant help but think of those who died without being in peace with themselves...i always thought that those ppl would be 'stuck' and roaming the cemetery grounds...
My story is very "Angels in the Outfield"
When I was 10 my Great Aunt died of lung cancer. The next day I had a softball game and while up to bat, I told myself I was going to hit a home run for my Aunt. I hit the ball, but it ended up going directly to the third baseman. The ball was thrown to first base, but was thrown directly over the first baseman's head, allowing me to go to first and be on my way to second. The ball was recovered and thrown to second base but the girl totally missed the ball and it went to the outfield. I made my way towards third base and the ball went over that girls head into the stands. I hauled butt to home and was completely shocked that I had just hit a infield home run. When I crossed the plate I had a very comforting feeling that my Aunt was with me.

ehh... it wasn't so bad, Mostly we just didn't look that direction when on the patio, but it was a pretty awesome experience to have some sprits in the apt... it made things interesting, but i think it scared my sister...
My ghost story- When I was 8 my family moved into a house that the previous owners sold so that they could move closer to the ill husband's hospital. About two years later I noticed one day that doors would randomly open and close and lights would turn off (never on, just off). Everyone else noticed it, too, so my Mom asked a neighbor and sure enough, the guy who had built that house in the 50s and lived in it since then had died. And he was back.
Angel Story- My mom has really bad asthma and one night she was having a bad enough attack that she couldn't sleep so she went to watch TV in the living room. My Dad said he had dozed off but woke up when he heard a woman's voice saying his name and telling him to go to the living room. He went in there thinking my Mom had called for him, but she was blue, not breathing, and passed out on the living room floor. He gave her CPR and called 9-11. She almost died that night but made it. We had to make some drastic changes to our house, like rip up all of the carpeting and removed diet sodas from the fridge (aspertame can induce asthma problems). But she lived and she was fine! But had he not woken up at that very moment she probably would not be.
My friend lived above a funeral home. One of the doors off the living room looks like a bedroom door, but it opens up into the casket and urn display room. She would jokingly tell people it was the guest bedroom on tours. I don't really think people get stuck where their bodies are but rather where their spirit wants to be.
Coincidentally... I'm watching Ghost Whisperer right now!
I don't really believe in ghosts, but I do believe in spiritual warfare. Demons and angels and such. And I do think that some people are more sensitive to it then others but I don't think you should go looking for it.
I have a friend/ex that used to tell me things that he saw, like demons, and it really creeped me out. I made him promise me never to tell me if he saw them in a place we were or in my house because I didn't want to know. But the reason I bring it up is because I think his mom's old house had some weird things going on. In high school we would be hanging out there and we could hear things in the attic, we used to just joke that it was roof rats or something and not think anything of it. But one weekend they all went out of town and I was checking in on their cat. The entire time I was in the house I felt like I wasn't alone and that any second someone would walk around the corner or was watching me. A few months later he was in his mom's house alone and he said he felt the same thing and then he went in his mom's room and heard a lady scream and when he went out and closed the door to her room he felt it be pushed from the other side.
The scariest story I have though happened about a year ago with my now husband. Once in awhile we get the urge to just get out of the house and sometimes we just drive to just for the heck of it. This night we drove out east on the 60 freeway and I saw a sign for canyon lake(I think, or saguaro), I told him hey if there's a sign it must not be too far away(I'd been there a couple times but never driven and never at night). So we head out through AJ and start going on the winding road up the mountains and by this time it was around 2 AM and pitch dark so we decide to turn around. We're driving back when we see this turn off picnic area so we park there and are sitting on the trunk looking at the stars. I was starting to feel uneasy and I didn't want to stay so I say lets go and we get back in the car. What happened next I will never be able to explain and never want to feel again. We are leaving the parking area and Matt(hubby) says to me, I don't know what it is but I feel really uncomfortable here. I'm like YES! That's how I've been feeling but I tried to shake it off. Matt does not believe in ghosts whatsoever and is a pretty tough guy he doesn't get freaked really easy so that weirded me out. As we're driving back it gets progressively worse. For no apparent reason I was scared to look out the window, I felt like we were being watched, and the feeling kept getting worse until it felt like someone or something was outside the car or on top of the car or even in the backseat, I was clutching my sweatshirt and just praying at that point. The strangest thing is that both of us were feeling the exact same thing. Matt was gripping the steering wheel and just racing to get us out of there. It wasn't until we got almost back to the freeway in Mesa that we sat at a gas station with water and started calming down.
Another time, and funny enough it was with Matt too, we had the similar feeling at the same time but nowhere near as bad. My in-laws have been buying foreclosed old houses and fixing them up to rent them out and they were in the process of fixing up a new one so we went over to see it. The house was fine and nothing weird until we went down the hallway. I so much at looked into one of the rooms and I got that feeling in my stomach. Matt went into the room with his mom, I was standing in the doorway I couldn't make myself go in, and he turns around and says, this room creeps the hell out of me. I hadn't even said anything. I agreed and his mom was like, Really? Not to me, but I did think it was really weird that the locks were on the inside of the closet in this room. That was enough for me, I couldn't wait to get out of that house. I couldn't even look into that room without feeling like I was going to cry. I definitely could never make myself live there. They rented it out to a newlywed couple and I kinda feel bad for them, I'm curious if they've experienced anything else in that house.
I couldn't live by a cemetery. One of Matt and his mom's favorite things to do used to be going to cemetery and seeing who is buried there and their story. Maybe it doesn't bother them because they definitely don't believe in ghosts but I couldn't do it.
