Switch to AT&T for IPhone or stay with Sprint and get Evo?
My cat puked on my crackberry last night and fried it. I need a new phone TODAY and am trying to decide if it's worth it to go through the hassle of switching carriers to get the I-phone or to just stick with Sprint and get the Evo? I'm not too techie, I basically use my phone for email, calendar and facebook. What are you recommendations?
TIA

Re: Switch to AT&T for IPhone or stay with Sprint and get Evo?
How's the service with AT&T in your area? Are there other reasons for switching from Sprint? Would it be a significant increase in your bill? Can you afford it if so? Do you really want the iPhone?
FWIW, I have an iPhone, and I simply LOVE it. We did switch carriers, but our phone company was merging with AT&T in a few months anyways. But you will find people have a matter of preference in regards to the iPhone.

Service is good and price doesn't really matter, basically I'm wondering if the I-phone is worth all the hype or not - it seems like I've heard a lot of good and bad from friends that have it. The Evo seems to get decent reviews so I may just go that route since it's the easiest and unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to research.

Like the pp, I also love my iphone . I didn't think I would use it like I do. There are so many apps out there. You will love it.
let us know how you like the Evo. My contract is up with Sprint in November and am debating the Evo or Epic as an upgrade. I know this is too late, but I absolutely hate AT & T's customer service (at least in this area), so as much as I'd like and iPhone, it's not worth it since it's only under AT&T.
Glad you got the Evo. I'm excited about getting it in a couple months :-)
The Evo is interesting, but humongous and heavy.
We switched to ATT from Verizon for iphones last summer (well, I took a detour to a Blackberry first and hated it, but we both upgraded to the new iphone 4 in June). We love them and will probably stay with ATT for it.
I recently got the Samsung Epic and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Lots of fun!
