What's up for the weekend?
We have friends visiting and staying with us from out of town. Plus the indoor volleyball season is back in full swing so we'll be playing once or twice this weekend as well. That's about it.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: What's up for the weekend?
I keep forgetting it's Friday... now that I'm unemployed, my days seem to run together!
DH and I have a friend's birthday party Saturday night. We actually had to give away Red Sox tickets in order to go, but what can you do?
Sunday I have my cousin's baby shower, she is due 3 weeks before me (although, as my ever tactful, 70 year old great Aunt told me last week, I'm HUGE and will probably have my baby before my cousin has hers! Thanks!)
Rock how is your back feeling?
Andrea, how is baby prep going? Do you have a shower coming up too?
Tonight I am going for a run then going out to do some errands and picking up a pizza on my way home. I have been thinking about pizza all week so I am psyched. It is my reward for cutting out snacks after 9pm. Probably counter productive, but I needed the motivation to get in to a better habit!
Tomorrow I think I am going to remove wallpaper in my kitchen and/or dining room. Meeting up with a few friends Saturday night.
Sunday probably watching football and doing yard work. We are thinking of having like 15 people over for a BBQ next weekend but that will depend on what shape we can get the place in to by then...
You're sweet for asking, thank you! It's doing really well and I've been playing volleyball for a few weeks now and not really babying it beyond taking some ibuprofen beforehand and being sure I stretch a little between games. I can feel a little tightness in it while playing on occasion, but I just keep trying to stretch it/drug up and I seem to be OK. I'm also still doing a couple of my PT stretches/exercises in the morning to be safe, but overall I really can't complain.
Andrea, I keep meaning to ask about the unemployed thing--what happened? Maybe I missed it or forgot, if you posted earlier.
Have fun with your friends!
I don't know what we are doing tonight. Tomorrow is the Pet Expo and tomorrow night we are going to a Restaurant Week place with friends. Sunday, dunno yet.
Thanks! And yay for DH being home, no matter what you decide to do.
Yes! Big surprise that he got in last night instead of tonight! Though I kept him up all night because I pee every 2 hours now. And then P jumped up onto the bed at 4 and vomited everywhere. Niiiiiiiice. Nothing like a sheet change and poor DH had to shower and wash his leg off before sunrise! LOL.
Baby prep is not really going anywhere! The baby's room is currently still a disaster. DH is putting in new trim and molding, which is all currently on the floor, and he needs to install 2 new light fixtures. Then we will buy an area rug and assemble the crib, and then I'll feel better! My shower is next weekend! Thanks for asking!
And my unemployment is self imposed. Work was getting to be overwhelming, and I'm VERY fortunate to be able to stay home with the little guy after he's born, so DH really encouraged me to resign from my job whenever I felt like it. It was tempting to quit earlier, but I made it through August!
bostonbaker, you have a REALLY busy weekend!! Removing wallpaper is the worst.
Punky, how are you feeling?! And how is all your baby prep going?
Punky: Ugh! But I hope P is doing OK?
Andrea: Yay for being able to stay at home!
bostonbaker: you really must post some before & after pics as you work on the house.
Ugh, you guys should see the wallpaper I am working with. Horrible floral print. At least in the kitchen it is on new walls so once it is off prepping the walls will be normal. The rest of the house is old crumbly plaster and I am not looking forward to doing those at all. I will post some pics when I am done, but don't hold your breath. It will probably be a few months by the time I am done removing, then patching, sanding, and painting. DH is super busy at work so this is my spare time project.
Oh she's fine. She just barfed up the remains of a bully stick I should have taken away from her when it got to be small! I fed her breakfast in 2 small groups this morning and she just banged that bowl around all over the kitchen to ensure I knew that I did NOT feed her the normal amount each time.
Andrea, the baby prep is going well, we're hanging curtains this weekend. It's going slowly and I'm no where near ready, but that's okay! Who is!
I am doing training all day Saturday for the program I am volunteering with, and then we are having dinner with friends. Sunday we are just going to try to get some work done around the house.
Punky and Andrea I would love to see pics of your nurseries!
Oh did you find one you liked?
I did! I am really excited about it.
It's really great to hear that it sounds like everyone is doing so well!
Friday night I visited with a friend who was in from out of town. It was so great to see her! Yesterday I had to work in the morning, then DH and I went bed shopping. We had a quiet night in with dinner, wine & Curb Your Enthusiasm. Today we went and purchased the bed we picked yesterday, and we've been alternating between watching football and browsing houses online.
