Fit Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!  How did you guys do this week?  I did well with exercising (5 days this week) and not my best at eating (pms) but I'm still feeling good.  I've decided to stop weighing in.  I'm getting VERY depressed not seeing numbers come down at all!  I did come across an interesting article saying that people who just start exercising will gain or maintain for weeks or months before they start losing and as long as you are seeing results elsewhere, not to dwell on the scale.  Did I mention I dropped 2 pants sizes?  Big Smile

 

Anyway!  How did you all do?  And, trying to stay on the positive theme here...name one positive thing you've noticed since starting on a healthier journey.

  • That sounds like my kinda article!  I struggle so much with my weight.  I can't participate in the "thing I did positive" as I have been horrible, but way to go on 2 pants sizes!!

    I only did okay this week, DH and I were OOT over last weekend, so we ate out all weekend, then went out again on Tues. with our parents. So eating this week was crap. I only made it to the gym once, and that was the last day of my trial membership. I think I'm gonna go ahead and sign up for a membership though! I like the classes, and I'm being optimistic and saying that I will keep this up for a year. :)

  • I'm a little late on this, but I'll still post.  I did ok this week, my eating habits for the most part were good and I exercised 3 times.  I was depressed Friday when I got on the scale and was up a pound but I lost a half inch on my waist, and then I got on the scale Sat morning and was down a lb (so 2lb from Friday morning???)

    I'm starting to think I may stop weighing in for awhile too and use other things like how my clothes fit and inch measurements to keep track of how I'm doing.

    Congrats on loosing 2 pants sizes Tammy, that is awesome!

    On a positive note, I've been trying to cook more at home so that I'll have healthier dishes with better portion control.  I already have most of the nights for this week planned out!

  • I'm late in posting too, but I didn't do well eating-wise last week. I was in Spain for work and their eating times are much different than ours and with long work days, it seemed like I was so hungry at each meal and over ate.  :(  At least it was only a week long trip! While I was there, I did ask about a path to go running on. So, one day, one of the engineers showed me by taking me by bike and the next day I attempted to run 2 or 3 miles. I now realize how flat it is where I live; it was very hard with the hills! Then, this past Sunday, I ran a 5k with my sister, it was her first 5k.
