What to do with old underwear....
My underwear box is overflowing with old underwear that I not longer wear for a variety of reasons.......what can I do with it?

Re: What to do with old underwear....
When my underwear starts getting older they become my period underwear and night time undies. And when they're just too old for that even, I just trash them. Not EF but even with bleaching I don't think I'd use them as wash rags since underwear fabric isn't exactly the best rag fabric.
I have pet rats so I was just thinking I could bleach some undies and hang them in their cage as a hammock which may look silly, but I'm sure they'd love it.
This is very interesting - I'll have to see next time if a Goodwill around me will take undies!
...Though I would kind of like to see a rat swinging on a panty hammock...
This is what I do too... by that point, there's not much left of them.
I'm going to check with my goodwill, though! That's a great tip. I actually have a bunch to clean out myself.
The Boy is currently fighting the panty hammocks. I will rebel, though. And post pics when I do.
Awesome! Panty hammock!!
That is disgusting. It makes me laugh but there is no way I'd contribute to that haha.

Do you think the rats would "understand" that the panties were for laying in? LOL at the thought of them doing that though.
As far as the garage sale panties--I just have to say that its amazing to me though, how expensive underwear is! The days of even getting bargain bin $1 pairs at the Marshalls or TJMaxx is over for me. I'd think that lower income people would have trouble affording them at $4 a pop (the cheapest I've seen them around me). Personally, I wouldn't buy second hand underwear, but I can definitely see the "need" for it if it'd be .25 or .50 cents vs. $4.
The goodwill/insulation is a good idea. I'm still skeeved about my old undies going somewhere.
I can't imagine ever selling used underwear at a garage sale. I just imagine Creepy McCreeperson buying them for a fetish.
Rat hammock == best idea ever!
I had no idea about it going as insulation. Interesting! That doesn't really bother me. Its clean. I hope!!
::Snort:: That is awesome! I can't wait.
I also use mine as period/nighttime undies and then trash them.
