in which I am shamed for sleeping in . . .

A little background info:  The owners of this apartment did a complete renovation before they left (which, yay for us.  Everything is new).  Given the speed of business here, not everything was finished before they left.  NBD.  Let me know when they're coming and I'll deal with it.

Last week, the glass company called (we're getting a glass back-splash in the kitchen) and said the workers would be here today between 9:30 and noon.  Cool, right?

Guess what time the doorbell rang?

If you guessed "NOT between 9:30 and noon", you get a cookie.

As I've been laid low by a cold this week, I'd planned to sleep until 9.  So, when the bell rings at 8:20, I'm SOLIDLY asleep. I stumble downstairs, groggy as hell, drool crusted on my chin, eyes glued shut with sleep-boogers, hair standing up like a Don King fright wig and let them in.

And they're like, "Late night, huh?"  Ahem.  If you know what is good for you, please to not be making the annoying comments before I have coffee.  Zombie Zwiggy will eat your brains.

Glass looks nice though.
