Happy Monday! How was everyone's weekend?

My goodness - the weather here in MD was absolutely amazing this past weekend, and it was a fitting way to send Summer off in style!

Let's see - I didn't do anything terribly interesting, but I did go shopping with Mom on Saturday, we got our twin mani/pedi's and had lunch. Sunday, of course, was all about football (even though I was none too pleased with the outcome of our game!), and then just some good old fashioned relaxing...

This week is going to be a rough one, though, as I have a business trip to Chicago Wednesday/Thursday, flying back in on Thursday evening, and then heading right out to the beach for a long weekend at a B&B near the beach (we're going to try Rehoboth for the first time)...that's how my week is shaping up - what about you ladies? Do anything fun this weekend? Busy week ahead??

Re: Happy Monday! How was everyone's weekend?

  • This weekend was busy for us. Saturday, we went to a first b-day party for a cousin and then went to College Station for tailgating and the Aggie football game....We did not make it home until 1:30 Sunday morning...

Sunday was more of a lazy day for me (well not really). I cleaned the house while hubby had to work. It also rained all day, which is really nice for the boys this next weekend.

This week is going to be busy. There are more changes going on at the office that I need to help with and I have to do it in only four days. Friday DH and I are taking off. We are taking our pup in to get fixed. Once we drop him off we are heading to the boardwalk for a little shopping, lunch with some cousins, and whatever else we can get ourselves into. Saturday I have to myself. DH, his dad, and my dad are going hunting...This is the first time for DH to hunt birds, so pray that he doesn't hurt himself!

    Have a great week, ladies!

  • Busy weekend and busy upcoming week! My H is a hunting enthusiast  also (actually his whole family is, including the women!), though I can say he hasn't hunted as much since we've been together. Which is ok, because number one - I'd worry like crazy about and accident, and number two, bambi gets to live for another few days :-)

  • We had the kids this weekend so I took Randi shopping for some pants and winter pjs. She is growing like a weed! Fortunately Reid has slowed down somewhat. I took it easy the rest of the day Saturday after shopping w/Randi (we were out for like 2 hrs+). Sunday I did my floors and laundry early so I could relax w/DH and watch the baseball and football games (GO PHILS!)

This week isn't really anything crazy- just we get to have the kids again this next weekend b/c their mom has to work on her weekend w/them. DH is still feeling lousy and calling the Dr. this morning so hopefully he can get some insight what his problem is and get some relief. I think I may make him some chicken soup tonight.

This week I will be finishing cleaning and getting ready for our garage remodel this weekend!  Busy busy!

  • Morning....had a pretty good weekend.

Friday did take-out w/ the husband and fell asleep early. Saturday got up and headed up to CT for a bachelorette wine tasting tour which was fun. Came home and picked up DH who had been helping one of our friends move. Sunday we went out for breakfast and I went food shopping then hung our the rest of the day and made a nice chicken w/ pasta dish for dinner!

  • happy monday girls!

this weekend was pretty lazy the usual cleaning and errands- and i spent alot of time cooking, which was fun.  i'm a dork, but i love weekends where i have time to just cook without rushing.  saturday night we went to a greek festival, with my family, that has the BEST food and dessert!!!  yesterday DH & I walked at the beach, and enjoyed the glorious weather!!

this Saturday i'm a BM in my friend's wedding!!! i took off friday to pack up my things and get a mani/pedi - so yay for a short week!!!

  • I had a pretty good weekend. It was Yom Kippur starting Friday night, so I had to fast from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. It wasn't too bad this time. We broke the fast at my sister's house in South Jersey Saturday evening.  We were supposed to go out with some friends when got home, but we didn't get home until after 11 and I was really tired, and a bit nauseas from fasting, so I stayed home and DH still went out.  Sunday I went to a jewelry/Tastefully Simple party and then last night went out for a nice dinner to celebrate our 3 year dating anniversary.

Not much going on this week, maybe dinner with friends on Wednesday night.

  • Happy Monday girls!  We had a crazy busy weekend up in Northern CA: Friday we walked all through downtown Oakland and stopped at the Pixar exhibit at the Oakland zoo (yay!)  Saturday, we drove to Placerton to go a a wine open house of a family friend.  Sunday, we drove to Vacaville for DH's family reunion.  And today we woke up at 4 am to get on a plane to San Diego and at 2 pm today I leave from work for a 3-day conference in Palm Springs (giving a huge talk tomorrow!).  I can't wait to breathe (in a week!)

  • We had a great weekend, Friday evening we finished some yard work, and got it all ready for fall and some rain..Saturday we finished any yard work from before, ran a few errands and had stay at home date night =) Sunday DH worked on getting the attic ready to store some boxes and I worked on laundry and cleaning.

This week should be pretty low key. I'm not working tomorrow because we are switching cable providers (getting AT&T uverse) so I have to stay and wait for the technician to come out. And then this weekend we are visiting DH parents to help them finish a couple of projects they are working on at their house.

  • Our weekend went by super fast.  Friday DH worked all day and night and didn't get home til midnight (I was already sleeping then).

Saturday MIL called and invited me to lunch and go shopping with her & SIL, but DH called 5 min later and said he had to go to Cincy for work.  So, I went with DH and spent 14+ hours in a van.  We got home around 2 and were both exhausted.

Sunday we slept in and were lazy most of the day.  We did go to Olive Garden for dinner though.

This is hubby's late week, so not much going on here.  I may go with a friend tomorrow to do her hair trial for her wedding Saturday.

  • Our weekend was pretty good with BIL's wedding and all :) Friday night consisted of rehearsal, rehearsal dinner and the bride's bach party. Saturday was wedding day! Sunday was relaxation and a going away party for DH's godparents who are moving to Texas.

We are currently dog sitting for BIL's dog while they are on their honeymoon...let me just say we've decided we will not be getting a 2nd dog for awhile. Not to mention Max (visitor dog) and Oscar (our dog) aren't exactly best buddies....

  • Our weekend was pretty laid back. Friday night we stayed in.

Saturday Mike worked and I ran errands in the morning then we both chilled and watched the Michigan game. I went to church w/ my mom then Mike and I got a pizza for dinner and went karaoke-ing with the next door neighbors. Nope - we didn't have Amanda like we were supposed to. Havne't seen her in almost 10 days (we'll have her tonight unless she calls and tells us otherwise). Her mom's sisters were up from AL and we didn't see her at all, which I can understand making up for lost time but her mom pulled her out of school on the 2nd week for 3 days to go gallivanting with her and her sister, and due to that she had TONS of homework to catch up on this weekend which was her "excuse" for not coming with us on Saturday (well that, and that she has a cold).

Yesterday we watched our Lions come super close to a win, but not quite close enough, and my parents came over for a cookout.

Not too busy of a week ahead but we're having a housewarming cookout with some of our party friends on Saturday so need to get all the stuff this week.  Mike also told Amanda she has to stay with us on Friday since we made plans on Saturday [since she was supposed to be with us this Saturday].  We wouldn't mind taking her on Saturday except she'd be bored as the only kid and we told our friends this is an adults affair (mainly because we can't afford to feed 10+ extra people if every couple brought their 1-3 kids, and we can't play favorites and only let certian couples bring their kids).  If we have her let a friend stay over that would be cool with me - but I have one friend in particular that would throw a fit ("I thought you said no kids!  We had to pay a sitter!  Blah Blah Blah!") and frankly I just don't feel like listening to it.

  • Friday night DH and I spent an hour & a half sitting in traffic trying to get into Forest Park for the Balloon Glow. I had to pee so bad I had to get out of the car to go find bathrooms, lol. Once DH found a parking spot he was going to come find me. Well for some reason, no one was getting any cell phone reception. After like 10 mins I was able to call him and find him.

Saturday we went to a car show and DH got 3rd place. Yay for him!

Sunday we were supposed to go to a race, but it got cancelled because of rain. So we went to my parents house to pick up some items I had been wanting.

And some sad news is that DH's uncle passed away last night. We knew it was coming, he had terminal cancer and organs were starting to shut down a few days ago. Its really sad. His wife hasn't had a job for awhile now and has no money to bury him.

  • This weekend was the end of my wisdom teeth recovery, and was capped off by having the IL's in town!

I took them to the Jets/Patriots game which was a lot of fun. They are Pats fans (from Mass) so they didn't like the outcome but they loved the new stadium.

It will be a long week at work, because I was out all of last week. Hopefully it will just fly by!
