I need a drink!
I am turning down the Denver job today, and I HATE to make this type of call. I know, might sound whiny when there are lots of people who are looking for jobs right now, but it really makes me sick to my stomach. I feel bad b/c I was so sure I was going to be able to accept when I first heard from him, but the past week we've found our situation to be different than we had thought.
DH always has to remind me to look out for myself and not worry so much about letting a company down.

I am so sorry, I understand your stress. I hate my job and am looking for a new one. I feel like I am "cheating" every time I interview, and am pretty sure I am getting an offer today or tomorrow and DREAD giving my notice-as this is a small company and they will take it as a personal affront.
We can have a big glass of wine together tonight!

That's a good way to look at it - Someone out there will get a job offer today because I turned it down :-)
