Decorating opinions needed!

We're going to get this bedding set for Elise's big girl room:

We let her choose between it and the cat and dog one and she chose this one. 

What color walls would you do?  They are currently a neutral beige, should we stick with that or do a pale pink or something?  I don't want it too vibrant colored (like the green) and I really want to girly her room up, since her baby stuff was gender neutral.  We're going to get the coordinating wall sticker things that are a tree and some owls and stuff.  And I have some white curtains I'll use with it.

You could go for a light lavender or even a light sagey green.

How about bringing that peach color out that is in the tree and on the owl head? That would be a great contrast to the green on the reversible side fo the comforter.

I'm kind of thinking a pale pink with a large brown stripe and a smaller pale green stripe.  But I dunno. Think that would look ok?  And where would the stripes be placed.  I don't want to cut the room in half with them.

The comforter is more pink than it appears in the picture, the picture looks more lavender. 

I can see that I'm probably going to go nuts with this.  I went to Target a little while ago to check out what accent pieces they had and there is the most adorable lamp, I really want to get it for her!

i'm also considering doing a chair rail with one color on top and another on bottom....but that would probably be too busy so I don't know...

My room was light blue when I was E's age. How big is her room? That will have bearing on how much you can do. I was thinking of suggesting stripes with the chair rail, but what happens when she wants something different in 2 years?

I would do an off-white color, is that what the pillows are? It would make the other colors pop! Anything really pale would work, a really nice pale grayish purple or sage would work, but don't try to match one of the colors. If you did a creamy off white that would look nice, then if you had similar wall decor with those vibrant colors it would pop nicely. They have such great wall decals now, I'm sure you can find some great stuff to help her room along! It's a very cute comforter

 I'm also on the light blue wagon.. Shanty2Chic did a fake chair rail/ panel on thier blog a couple months ago.. It was just on one wall, I thought it was pretty neat!
