Frankenfish is up for FDA approval...

And at least the AP news story about it is making its way through mainstream news sources.  I just saw it on yahoo news, ABC news has a link too.

I shudder to think of the consequences, IF it is approved.  (Though it sounds like the FDA is all about supporting it... )

Re: Frankenfish is up for FDA approval...

  • This really freaks me out. I wish they'd stop releasing genetic modifications into the wild until we know more about it. Frankly I know enough to know I don't want it, but regardless of your opinion I don't see how anyone, even those in support, can say we know enough about the longterm effects -- and its widely accepted its uncontrollable - to keep increasing GEs. UGH.

  • i posted about this on my blog a couple of days ago. the FDA had an open comments forum this weekend, but i am sure most of the attendees were for it not against and i am sure the forum was designed that way. i cannot believe they are seriously considering passing this. considering that currently fish is the only meat i eat, i will either have to become a vegetarian or go back to eating meat.
