Having a crazy week!

Who else has a crazy schedule this week?

My H is out of town until Thurs night. We are having my DD's confirmation on Sunday and some of my ILs are staying for the weekend. We have SIL and Neice/Godmother + NG's DD2yr old arriving Thursday night. BIL is arriving Friday afternoon with MIL/FIL. Everyone departs Monday morning. We have 30-40 family/friends coming to our Open House Sunday for the confirmation (we both have big families, so 30 is "small gathering" for us).

I have been cleaning madly and barking orders at the kids all last weekend - deep cleaning hard to reach areas (ceiling corners, chandeliers, behind the toilet). The kids have been helpful and only gave the sigh/eye-roll a few times. So this is our week (I work full time):

Monday night - 5:30P Girls Scout meeting; 6:30P Boy Scout meeting starts: 7P GS ends; 7:45P Dance class; 8pm BS ends; 8:45p Dance ends.

Tues: Track meet ends 5:15pm; 5:45 Dance class: 6:45P Drivers Ed begin; 7pm Parent meeting at DS's school: 9pm Dr Ed ends;

Wed: 7:30 Rehearsal for Confirmation - thankfully my Bro/Godfather will take her; me - cleaning.

Thurs: Final cleaning

Fri night: HS Football game (DD is in colorguard so ILs will be able to see her perform).

Sat: all day cooking fest with ILs

Sun: confirmation party starting at 1pm; ceremony 5pm; post-party until 9pm.

Monday - ILs go home. Me - passes out.

I can't wait for my DD to get her license, so she drive herself to half this stuff.

Re: Having a crazy week!

  • Sounds insane. I hope you make it through the next few days with your sanity.
  • Wow.  That does sounds nuts.  My week isn't any worse than normal other than the fact that DH has started working nights (5pm-1am) and we're trying to get used to being on opposite schedules.  I'm not really liking it, but I try to stay positive because he took a job he hates to support us.  :-(
  • Yikes ! that is one insane week ! try to get some "me time" in there so you dont go nuts.

    My week is pretty normal just work and gym....oh and throw in a dress fitting for a wedding coming up I'm in.

    Enjoy the rest of your week, it will be over soon Smile

    That stinks. My BIL used to work nights. M-F he could deal since he was busy with work. But weekends were a killer because his body was still on alternate time while his social life (hanging w/family and friends) was on a more traditional time. Sunday night/Monday were his toughest transitions.  Hopefully your H can find something with better hours that is just as rewarding.
