We just got a new bed and it is massively tall. So much so that our old headboard won't work. (Seriously, I might need to get a running start to get up on the thing.) So any ideas about where to get a taller headboard? I've looked online and haven't found much.
I'm not a huge fan of those really tall headboards that reach almost to the ceiling (I would post a pic but my nest skills are in serious decline.)
I'm just looking for a normal, but slightly taller than usual headboard. Suggestions?

Did you try a specialty mattress store? Joe and I bought a new mattress at the Original Mattress Factory and they had a few different styles of headboards which would work for a tall mattress set. We got one that was antique-bronzed looking metal, very straight lined, I'd say "Updated Traditional" in style. They had several styles, from country to craftsman.. nothing too crazy, but nothing super unique either. It is an option, though..
I don't know how DIY you would want to go - but I saw someone (maybe a guest post on the YoungHouseLove.com blog) that made a headboard out of a 3-panel door. It looked really nice!
