basement repair questions
i'm in the process of re-routing some boiler base boards and we noticed that my basement paneling is warped (where the old baseboards were). we did have flooding once, but i'm thinking the warping is from the radiant heating against the paneling.
anyway, anyone have any experiences with replacing paneling? the paneling is at the bottom half of the walls. i'm thinking it's a good idea to bring in an inspector and also possibly rip out the old carpeting in the basement and maybe have a basement expert check for cracks and hire someone to seal them....
thoughts? any recommentations in the North Suburban Chicago area?
thanks very much! |
