Got my dress back

I sent my wedding dress for preservation and just got it back.  It is all neatly boxed up with a see through window so I can still see it.  It is sad to see it in the box, but it is so much easier to store now.  I am glad that I got it done.  It amazes me how they got it in there.  Did they cut out all the layers underneath?

Re: Got my dress back

  • It must be fun to get it back! ?Mine is still hanging in my closet - I'm not getting it boxed up, but I definitely need to send it out to get cleaned. ?

  • Mine has been at the cleaners for about 6 weeks.  I really need to call them and see if it's done yet...

  • I'm not ready to send mine out to be cleaned yet.  It's sitting in our bedroom and I love that I get to see it and touch it everyday... Yesterday was our 1 month anniversary...so I put it on! yup. I'm a big nerd and my H thought I was a little weird, but I loved the feeling it gave me.  I absolutely adore my dress and wish it was one that I might be able to wear again..but it's not.
