Only out to certain people :-( right or not i need a job, and this economy isn't helping. so i'll take what I can get and keep untill something better comes along. besides me being out doesn't affect my work, and they have no reason to know. i'm 175% out outside of work though, so it's only a matter of time before someone in this small town finds out. but til then i'm not saying nething.
For me, that's a tough question to answer, because I'm self-employed. Thus, I don't have any coworkers. Clients typically don't know, just because they don't know (or want to know) anything about my personal life. Case in point: I told one client I'd be out of the office for a couple of days because I was getting married. Client asks, "Congratulations! Will you have a new name after the wedding?" Me: "No." End of discussion. Client doesn't know that I was married before, or that I have grown children, etc.
However, I refuse to be in any situation in which I wouldn't say, "I'm meeting my wife for dinner," if that issue came up. So I consider myself out.

This is kind of similar to my situation right now (minus the self-employed part). I'm out to co-workers, but I have yet to encounter a circumstance when being out to clients would have come up. I think if the situation did come up, I would be comfortable saying I have a wife. I wasn't out at all at my previous job and it made me crazy.
