Recommend your OBGYN...please :-)
I've had the same doctor since high school, but they are too far away now. I live in Avalon Park and work in Lake Mary....so I'm looking for something in the Waterford Lakes area or somewhere along I-4.
I know of Loch Haven OBGYN and I've heard of Waterford Lakes Women's Health Center...anyone have an recommendations about either of these or other suggestions?
Just to give a quick background...My DH and I are trying to start a family and I came of BCP months ago and I'm having issues...that's why I need a new doc.
TIA! :-)

Re: Recommend your OBGYN...please :-)
I go to Dr. Emma Fritz who is nearby Lake Underhill Rd. It's a small practice with only two other doctors (who practice downtown), which is great for when you are pregnant. I never want a practice with 5+ doctors...I prefer to know the doctors who may be with me on delivery day. Dr. Fritz took great care of me when I developed severe pre-e with my son, and I will definitely return to her when I decide to go for #2!

Dr. Bartfield and Dr. Durkee are my favorites!
I had to go in last week for other reasons, but we got to talking about my "issues" and the doc agreed to give me Clomid after 2 months, so they do prescribe it there. (Some don't and require you to go to an RE.)
Good luck! It sucks trying to find a new doctor.
I see Dr. Crofoot in Orlando (off Bumby and 50). He was my friends OB and she loved him!
p.s. Whats BCP stand for?
Nevermind I reread your msg... i thought you said you became a BCP.... nevermind :-)

My normal doc is Dr. Brown but I have seen all of them due to hospital stays and delivery and they are all great. They have a few offices in the Orlando area. Good luck!
I second this recommendation. My normal doctor is Dr. Diebel there but I have seen the others and they are all good.
I third this. I usually see one of the nurse practitioners, Carolyn Weinstein, and I've also heard good things about Dr. Carducci.
I like them because their offices always seem so organized and efficiently run, and they are awesome about working you into the schedule if it's urgent, usually same-day.
Thank you for all your suggestions. I have a weird insurance issue though too...in case anyone knows of Drs that take it.
I am currently with Cigna (DH's plan) but I am soon moving to my own plan as a Florida Hospital/Adventist Health employee (FHHS insurance), and may use DH's new UPS insurance (United) as of January 1 as a secondary insurance.
So at the least I am hoping to find someone that accepts Cigna and FHHS. I don't want to have to keep switching.
TIA for all your help. :-)
I know from experience that OB GYN Specialists (the one everyone is recommending) does NOT take FHHS insurance as a primary or a secondary. When I was working at FH, I went to an appointment there and had to cancel because they didn't take FHHS.
I have been going to this office since 2001 and love it there. I usually see Paula Mix a NP. Carol is also great. Dr. Bartfield delivered my son in Feb. They deliver at Winnie. I was worried when I was pregnant about the fact that it was a group office. I ended up meeting most of them before going into labor. I had never met Dr. Bartfield but he was awesome when it came time to deliver. During my pregnancy they were concerned that I was measuring behind and did not hesitate to give me more ultrasounds to make sure that everything was ok. Thankfully it was... I have United Health and they take that.
OB & GYN (Dr. Lazar) delivered my sister in 1983, and delivered my sister's first baby in 2006! Pretty crazy huh!
